Sarah Wolek

Sarah Wolek is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 16, assuming office on April 3, 2023. A graduate of Wootton High School in Montgomery County, she holds bachelor's degrees from the University of Maryland, an MBA from Columbia University, and a master's in public policy from the University of Chicago. Before her election, Wolek served over a decade in the federal government. Her career includes positions at the White House Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, and the Departments of Treasury, Commerce, and Housing and Urban Development. She also served as a faculty member at the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business.
