Scott Shellenberger is the Democratic State's Attorney for Baltimore County, Maryland, first elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. A graduate of Loch Raven High School, Loyola College, and the University of Baltimore School of Law, he began his legal career as a law clerk in the State's Attorney's Office. After being admitted to the Bar in 1985, he worked as a prosecutor, eventually supervising several units and becoming Chief of the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Division. Before his election, he was in private practice, representing families in asbestos exposure cases. Shellenberger has served on numerous task forces and councils.
