Seth Bernard is a Republican candidate for Allegany County Commissioner in the 2026 Maryland primary election. Bernard previously served on the Cumberland City Council, where he was first elected in November 2014 and secured a second term before resigning in September 2021. During his council tenure, he served on the Neighborhood Advisory Commission, the Parks and Recreation Board, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. He also served as Treasurer to the Evitts Creek Water Company. Outside of elected office, Bernard is the Director of Development for Bishop Walsh School, a pre-K through 12th-grade Catholic school in Cumberland.
