Shayla D. Adams-Stafford is a Democratic politician serving on the Prince George's County Council in Maryland. Elected in a June 2025 special election, she represents Councilmanic District 5. A former teacher and instructional coach, she earned a B.A. from Wellesley College and an M.A. from Duke University. She is the founder and CEO of the education company AdaptiveX and founder of the non-profit RemixEducation. Her priorities include affordable housing, workforce training, environmental protection, and lower taxes for seniors.
