Hon. Sherrie R. Bailey is an Associate Judge for the Baltimore County Circuit Court, representing Maryland's 3rd Judicial Circuit in a nonpartisan judicial capacity since May 2009. Born in Richmond, Virginia, Bailey earned a bachelor's degree in human development from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 1981 and a J.D. from Notre Dame Law School in 1984. Before joining the bench, she built a legal career on both sides of the courtroom. Bailey served as an Assistant State's Attorney in Baltimore City from 1984 to 2006, including as Chief of the District Court Division. She later worked as an Assistant Public Defender in Baltimore County from 2006 to 2009.
