Sherry Womack

Sherry-Lynn Womack is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with 33 years of service, including combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq where she earned Bronze Star Medals. She entered the military in 1981 as an enlisted medic and later became a commissioned medical officer. After retiring from the military, she was elected to the Lee County Board of Education in 2016 and has served as its chair. She also serves on the North Carolina Social Services Commission. Womack holds a doctorate in organization leadership and management from the University of Phoenix.
