Soren Stevenson is a renter in the Lyndale neighborhood and a union member. He earned a master's degree from the University of Minnesota, where he studied housing policy. His professional experience includes working in housing policy and as a street outreach worker for individuals experiencing homelessness. During the protests following the murder of George Floyd, Stevenson was shot in the face by a police officer with a rubber bullet, which resulted in the loss of his left eye. This experience has been a significant motivator for his advocacy for police accountability.
