Stacy Besch

Stacy Besch is seeking election to the Iowa State Senate, representing District 5, in the 2026 Republican primary. An Algona resident, she announced her candidacy in October 2025, stating her work with Team Iowa against human trafficking motivated her to seek a Senate seat to better serve Iowans. Her platform includes protecting the right to life, eradicating human trafficking, shielding children from online predators, reintroducing morality and religious texts in schools while dismantling DEI, defending Second Amendment rights, protecting seniors from euthanasia, advocating medical freedom, and addressing property tax inflation through eliminating wasteful spending. She is challenging incumbent Dave Rowley.
