Stavros Plagianakos is a nonpartisan candidate running for the Cecil County Board of Education to represent District 4 in Maryland. He officially filed his candidacy in February 2026. Plagianakos is set to appear on the ballot for the upcoming June 23, 2026 primary election, competing against incumbent Brian Hampton and fellow challengers Sheila Tome and Loucretia Wood. Prior to his current campaign for local public office, he pursued higher education in the area and was recognized on the Dean's List at Harford Community College for the fall 2024 semester. Plagianakos's campaign committee is registered under the name The People for Plagianakos.
