Stephen Morgan is an incumbent judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, having been elected to the bench in 2020. His current term is set to end in January 2027. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, he earned a B.A. in political science from Messiah University in 2000 and a dual J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2005. Morgan served as an attorney in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, completing two tours in Iraq where he was a felony prosecutor. His legal career also includes experience as a criminal defense attorney and as a deputy district attorney for Los Angeles County starting in 2012. Additionally, he has taught legal writing and research as an adjunct professor at the John Marshall School of Law and Abraham Lincoln University School of Law.
