Stephen Szczurko-Walton

Stephen Szczurko-Walton is a non-incumbent Democratic candidate for Washington State House Representative, District 31-Position 1, in the 2026 primary election. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served ten years as a nuclear reactor operator, including three deployments. He holds a Master's in Public Administration and a BA in Political Science. Post-military, he lobbied for Student Veterans of America and engaged in community organizing and mutual aid in Auburn. He is motivated by his belief that it is his turn to stand up, continuing his oath to the Constitution. His campaign priorities are affordability, public trust, and energy, aiming for a society that values helping others, creating abundance, and securing autonomy and democracy for his son's future. He resides in Auburn, Washington.
