A native of Maryland, Susan W. Krebs is a Republican serving as the County Commissioner for District 5 in Carroll County. Appointed by Governor Wes Moore in September 2025 to fill a vacancy, Krebs brings decades of experience to the board. Prior to this role, she served twenty years in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2003 to 2023, representing Districts 9B and 5. Her public service career began in 1998 on the Carroll County Board of Education, where she later served as President. Professionally, Krebs has worked as an accountant and financial consultant after earning a degree in business administration from Towson State University.
