Ted Brown was born in 1960 in Steubenville, Ohio. He earned a B.A. in political science with a concentration in constitutional law from UCLA in 1984. Until his recent retirement he worked in the insurance industry as a self-employed independent insurance adjuster. He joined the Libertarian Party in 1979 and served as Chairman of the Libertarian Party of California and as a member of the Libertarian National Committee; he is currently Vice Chair of the Libertarian Party of Travis County and Candidate Coordinator for the Libertarian Party of Texas.
