Tency A. Eason is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of Caldwell University with a degree in Business Administration. She also holds a Certification in Government Relations from Rutgers University. Eason has been a member of the Orange City Council since 2002 and is currently serving her fifth term. She has served multiple terms as City Council President and Vice President. Prior to her work in government, she worked for Verizon and AT&T for 34 years, retiring as a Product Manager in Marketing. She currently works for the East Orange School District. Eason is actively involved in the community through various organizations, including St. Matthew A.M.E. Church, the Orange Planning Board, and the New Jersey League of Municipalities Legislative Committee.
