Terry Baker

Terry Baker is a Republican member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 1C, which covers parts of Allegany and Washington counties. He assumed office on January 11, 2023, for a term scheduled to end in January 2027. Prior to his service in the state legislature, Baker had an extensive career in local government. He served as a Washington County Commissioner from 2006 until 2022, holding the leadership roles of both president and vice-president during his sixteen-year tenure. His public service also includes experience in municipal government as a member of the Clear Spring Town Council and as the Assistant Mayor of Clear Spring. Baker is a graduate of Hagerstown Junior College and Auburn University.
