Terry Turner

Terry Turner was born in Henderson, North Carolina. He is a retired state worker and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served from 1970 to 1972. He holds four college degrees, including one in political science from Western Carolina University, where he also earned a graduate degree. He received an associate's degree from Louisburg Junior College. Turner previously served as the Mayor of Butner, winning the general election on November 5, 2019. He has also served on the Town Council and various town, county, and church committees. He completed the Advanced Leadership Corps (ALC) training from the School of Government at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
