Tharon Chandler

William Tharon Chandler, who goes by Tharon, is a farmer and perennial candidate from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Born in Lawrenceburg in 1967, he served in the U.S. Army in 1991, earned a high school diploma from Lawrence County High School, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in German and economics from Memphis State University in 1994, later completing graduate-level coursework in education at the University of Tennessee at Martin, the University of North Alabama, and Middle Tennessee State University. His work history includes journalism, economics, Christian missionary work, conservation, and farming. He has run repeatedly for the U.S. House and U.S. Senate in Tennessee, including as a Democrat against Marsha Blackburn in 2016 and as an independent for U.S. Senate in 2024.
