Thomas Anglim is the District Attorney for North Carolina's Prosecutorial District 02. He was appointed to the position by Governor Josh Stein on January 3, 2025, to replace Seth H. Edwards, who was elected as a Superior Court judge. Prior to his appointment, Anglim served as the Chief Assistant District Attorney in the same district. He is a career prosecutor with nearly 31 years of experience as an Assistant District Attorney. His experience also includes serving for five years as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Anglim earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1989 and his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University. He is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys, where he serves on the Training Committee and is a past instructor for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy.
