Tom Barrett (born April 30, 1981) is the U.S. representative for Michigan's 7th congressional district, assuming office in 2025. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served in the Michigan Senate from 2019 to 2023 and the Michigan House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019. Barrett grew up in Southfield, Michigan, and served 22 years in the U.S. Army, deploying to Iraq, Guantanamo Bay, Kuwait, and South Korea. He earned a political science degree from Western Michigan University.
