Violet Arth is a candidate for City of Shelby City Council Ward 4 in Shelby, North Carolina — 2025 General Election. Running as Non-partisan.

Violet Arth has been a resident of Ward 4 since 1994 and is a graduate of Shelby High School. She earned a degree in Marketing with a minor in Fine Art from Appalachian State University in 2003. For 19 years, she was the Marketing Director at the Cleveland County Arts Council, retiring in 2023. She is currently a realtor with Coldwell Banker Mountain View, a member of the Junior Charity League of Shelby, and serves on the Board of the Historic Shelby Foundation. She has two daughters.
