Wade Robinson grew up on a farm in south-central Nebraska and attended Kearney State College, where he played football. He earned a Bachelor's degree in 1989, a Master's degree in Education in 1992, and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1995. Robinson worked in higher education from 1989 to 2025, including a period at DMACC from 2015 to 2025. His roles included Dean of Student Resources, where he was involved in investigating incidents of sexual misconduct.
