Wallace Ransom retired in June 2023 as a Lieutenant after a 30-year career with the Northampton County Sheriff's Office, where he started in 1993. During his career, he served in the patrol division, child support division, and court division. He also worked as a patrol officer with the Garysburg Police Department for over 21 years. He was a candidate for the Garysburg Town Council in the November 2025 election.
