William Forman was appointed to the Los Angeles County Superior Court by Governor Gavin Newsom in June 2025. Prior to his appointment, he was a Partner at Winston & Strawn, LLP starting in 2021. His previous experience includes being a Partner at Scheper Kim & Harris, LLP from 2009 to 2021, Counsel at Wilmer Hale from 2008 to 2009, and an Associate at Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe from 2003 to 2008. Forman also served as a Deputy Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California from 1997 to 2003. He began his legal career as an Associate at Arnold & Porter from 1992 to 1997 and at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Marmaro from 1990 to 1991. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and an A.B. in History from Princeton University.
