William Justice

William Justice was born and raised in Onslow County, with family ties to the area dating back to the 1700s. He worked for forty-two years in the restaurant industry, starting with Golden Corral in 1977 and later owning his own restaurant. He also served as Vice President/Operations Director of Smithfield Management Corporation and retired in 2019 as a partner/manager with Panera Bread. He has lived in downtown Swansboro for over twelve years. Justice is an active member of the Swansboro United Methodist Church and volunteers with charities including the "Peanut Ministry" and The Hem of His Garment. He was appointed as mayor on January 28, 2025, to serve until the November 2025 municipal election, filling a vacancy left by the previous mayor.
