William Lee Queen is a candidate for Guilford County Sheriff in Guilford County, North Carolina — 2026 Primary Election. Running as Republican Party.

William "Billy" Queen is a highly decorated former federal agent and military veteran with a career of over four decades. He served in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division and 11th Special Forces Group. Following his military service, he was a police officer with the High Point Police Department, becoming the youngest sergeant in the department's history. He later became the first white police officer at North Carolina A&T State University while working on his master's degree. Queen then served as a U.S. Border Patrol Agent before becoming a special agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). With the ATF, he gained national recognition for his undercover work infiltrating notorious outlaw motorcycle gangs, which he detailed in his New York Times bestselling memoir, "Under and Alone". He is the recipient of numerous awards, including three Medal of Valor awards and the Director's Award from the U.S. Attorney General's Office.
