William "Bill" Rogers is a resident of Evergreen, North Carolina. He is a retired Master Trooper from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, where he served from February 2001 until September 30, 2022. He was first appointed interim sheriff in October 2022. Following the resignation of Sheriff Jody Greene, Rogers was appointed sheriff by the Columbus Board of Commissioners in early 2023. He also owns and operates six hog houses and farms corn and beans with his brother.
