William Slater

William Slater is an incumbent Representative for District 35 in the Tennessee State House, currently seeking re-election in the Republican primary. Also serving as a dean and educator at Welch College in Gallatin, TN, he is a proponent for the advancement of higher education. Slater and his family moved to Sumner County in 1996, where he previously served as a headmaster for 21 years after earning a master's degree in educational leadership and later a law degree. Active in the business community, he co-owns a publishing company and a real estate investment company, and is involved with local boards such as Living Sent Ministries and Improve Hendersonville.
