Her public service includes previously serving on the Charles County Monument Commission and the St. Mary's County Social Services Advisory Board. She is currently a member of the St. Mary's County Police Accountability Board. Dowleyne was also a Summer Fellow for the 2012 Maryland Summer Obama Organizing Fellowship Program. She is committed to community service and enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
