Zach Lahn

Zach Lahn, an eastern Iowa farmer and businessman, is a Republican candidate for Governor of Iowa in the 2026 election, on the primary ballot for June 2. A first-time candidate for public office, he launched his campaign from his family farm near Belle Plaine, championing an "Iowa First" agenda. Lahn emphasizes strengthening rural communities, supporting anti-abortion measures, and "making Iowa healthy again." He has been linked to opposing Medicaid expansion, advocating cuts to public education, and backing tariffs. With his wife, he has seven children, founded a company investing in agriculture, real estate, and technology, and co-founded a private school in Wichita, Kansas.
