About
Jared Huffman is an American lawyer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 2nd congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Huffman previously represented the 6th district in the California State Assembly from 2006 to 2012. Prior to his legislative service, he was a Senior Attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council and served 12 years as a Director of the Marin Municipal Water District. He is a graduate of Boston College Law School.

Congress's job, under the Constitution, is to prevent this, yet this congress has shamefully looked away - and in too many cases, been part of the problem. I will fight to hold Trump and others in the administration accountable by restoring serious oversight and investigations in a Democratic majority next Congress. I will also demand a total ban on stock trading (including prediction markets) by members of Congress along with the President and other executive branch officials. I will also fight for robust, enforceable ethics standards for the Supreme Court.”
