Alex Ryckman

Alex Ryckman is a teacher of multilingual learners who earned a bachelor's degree from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2020. As a former SNAP and Medicaid recipient, Ryckman advocates for community-based resources, stressing dignity and accessible care over complex regulations. Policy priorities include reforming the corrections system to focus on inmate well-being and addressing root causes rather than privatization, abolishing ICE and reforming the immigration process due to concerns for neighbors' safety, and ensuring dignity in community resource access. He is running to foster connections and make change in Colorado.
