Arlene Simmons is a registered nurse with over 20 years of experience and a local businesswoman. She is the owner of Baldwin Youth Services, a youth development center she started after serving as a crisis nurse in New York during the COVID-19 pandemic. A military veteran, she founded the nonprofit A.S Life Care Services and Urban Development, Inc. in 2008 to support underserved communities through various initiatives, including feeding the homeless and youth mentorship. In 2025, Governor Brian Kemp appointed her to the Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority.
