Avelino Valencia has served as a member of the California State Assembly representing District 68 since 2022 [1.2]. Previously, he served on the Anaheim City Council from 2020 to 2022 and worked as a district director for former Assemblymember Tom Daly. The son of immigrant parents, Valencia grew up in Orange County. He holds an associate degree from Fullerton College, a bachelor's degree from San Jose State University, and a master's degree in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University.
