Bobbie Jones is the current mayor of Princeville, first elected in 2013. He grew up in a sharecropping family near Conetoe and Princeville. Jones is also a full-time school principal at C.S. Brown High School STEM. As mayor, he has led the town through recovery efforts after major flooding from Hurricane Matthew in 2016, advocating for rebuilding rather than resident relocation. His campaign focus has been on building pride, fostering a positive image for the town, and making the community "bigger, better, and bolder."
