Bradley Abate is the current Vice Chairman of the Harnett County Board of Education, representing District 3. He was elected to the board in November 2022 and took office in December 2022. In February 2025, Abate was selected as the new Director of Harnett Regional Jetport, a role he began on February 17, 2025. Prior to this, he was part of the Harnett County Sheriff's Office for over 16 years. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University, a Law Enforcement General Instructor Training Certificate from Wake Technical Community College, and a Basic Law Enforcement Training Certificate from Central Carolina Community College.
