Carolyn Ward

Carolyn Ward is the President of the Farmville Housing Development Corporation, a non-profit that assists low and modest-income individuals in finding safe and affordable housing. She has a long history of community service, including helping residents with home repairs, preventing evictions, and connecting them with financial assistance programs like the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP). She is also known for her work in ensuring elderly, sick, and disabled citizens have the opportunity to vote via absentee ballots. Ward is active in her church and volunteers with Farmville United at the Cross and the Community Outreach Kitchen. She previously ran for the Farmville Town Council in 2019.
