Chanel A. Branch is a Democratic politician from Baltimore. She represented the 45th legislative district in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2020 to 2023 after an appointment by Governor Larry Hogan. During her tenure, Branch served on the Ways and Means Committee and was a member of the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland and the Women Legislators of Maryland. A Baltimore native born in 1980, she attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Baltimore City Community College, and TESST College of Technology. Prior to her legislative appointment, she was Director of Support Operations for the Maryland Department of Human Services. Branch also served on the Baltimore City Democratic Central Committee. She was defeated in the 2022 Democratic primary.
