Chip Keating

Chip Keating, a Republican, is running for Governor of Oklahoma in the 2026 primary. His background includes service as an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and Secretary of Public Safety under Governor Kevin Stitt, alongside two decades as an independent businessman in the oil and gas industry. The son of former Governor Frank Keating, he aims to address family threats, enhance public safety, and grow the state's economy. Key policy positions include preventing state agencies from adopting Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and safeguarding digital asset rights from government interference. He champions an America First agenda and conservative values, having expressed a desire to work with President Trump. Keating is a Southern Methodist University alumnus and founded the Oklahoma State Troopers Foundation. He and his wife, Brittney, are raising their three children in Oklahoma.
