Chris Floyd is a Democratic candidate for the Colorado House of Representatives, District 13, in the 2026 election. With a legal background, she holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond School of Law, and has worked as an attorney, business owner, municipal judge for Leadville, and Lake County attorney. Originally from Lexington, Virginia, she moved to Leadville nearly 12 years ago. Encouraged by incumbent Representative Julie McCluskie, Floyd is running to address rising living costs, expand affordable housing, improve economic development, and protect Colorado’s natural resources. She intends to resign from her current roles to focus on her candidacy.
