Christina Cherry is a retired U.S. Navy veteran, a mother, and a community advocate. Originally from the Bronx, she experienced homelessness at a young age before joining the Navy. After her service, she worked at a VA hospital. She later moved to Newark, where she became a homeowner and real estate entrepreneur, focusing on providing housing for single mothers. She is the President of The South 17th & 18th Street Neighborhood Association.
