Christine J. Gonong is a Judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court. She was appointed to the position by Governor Gavin Newsom and previously served as a Court Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court starting in 2022. Prior to her appointment, she was the Director of Law and Motion at Nguyen Lawyers, ALC, a firm specializing in complex civil litigation. Gonong also served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law from 2017 to 2022. Her legal career includes numerous clerkships for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the Hawaii Supreme Court. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
