Christopher Todd Campbell is a lifelong Kentuckian who grew up in Marion County. He spent much of his working life in healthcare, including at nursing homes, hospitals, health departments, and rape crisis centers, and has also worked as an independent contractor. He is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University (2019) and served in the Kentucky National Guard (2013–2019). He is a dues-paying member of a labor union (Local 1076) and a Kentucky Colonel, and lists a Richmond, Kentucky address on his FEC statement of candidacy.
