Cynthia Stone is a retired teacher and a Charlotte native. She graduated from UNC-Greensboro in 1976 and began her career as an elementary school teacher. She later returned to teaching in 2004 and worked as a teacher at Chantilly Elementary and Park Road Montessori before retiring in December 2023. She earned a Master of Education with a Montessori concentration from Lander University in 2009. Stone has experience as a CMS parent and step-parent.
