Daniel Nowell

Danny Nowell is the current Mayor Pro Tem for the Town of Carrboro. He and his wife, both graduates of UNC-Chapel Hill, have lived in Carrboro since 2016 and are raising their two children there. Before his election to the Town Council, he was involved in fundraising for mutual aid and racial equity. Professionally, he works as a freelance copywriter, fiction writer, and musician. He has also been active with the Democratic Socialists of America, focusing on organizing support for affordable housing and transit initiatives.
