Danielle I. Hunter was appointed to the Prince George's County Council in January 2026 to represent District 6. Before her appointment, she served as the Director of Boards and Commissions within the Office of the County Executive. Hunter is the co-founder of TakeFlight Consulting, an organization that helps guide individuals into aviation careers, with a focus on underrepresented communities. She is also deeply involved in community advocacy through her S.H.E. initiative, which stands for Safer Communities, Healthier Families, and Educational Advancement for Youth. Through her give-back initiatives, she has provided food and winter clothing to hundreds of families in need.
