David F. McCarthy

David F. McCarthy is the incumbent Ward 1 City Councillor, serving the neighborhoods of Houghs Neck, Germantown, Merrymount, Adams Shore, Quincy Center, and parts of Quincy Point. He has been a city councilmember since 2018 and previously served on the Quincy School Committee from 2004 to 2016. For over 35 years, he has worked as the Defense Division's Security Director at General Dynamics. He also serves on the Board of Directors for South Shore Mental Health and the Board of Trustees for the Carrol Center for the Blind.
