David Lusk moved to Davidson in mid-2023 from Arlington, Virginia, with his wife Beth. He graduated from Brown University with degrees in Public Policy and Business Economics. Lusk has over 30 years of experience in federal and state legislative affairs and founded his own public affairs firm, Key Advocacy, in 2015. His firm develops advocacy programs for clients including national associations, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies. Since moving to Davidson, he has completed the town's Civics 101 course and serves on the Town's Planning Advisory Board.
