David V. Fraser-Hidalgo is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 15 in Montgomery County. He was first appointed to the position on October 21, 2013. Born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1969, he moved to Montgomery County at age five. He graduated from Albert Einstein High School and earned a B.A. in history from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Before his legislative career, Fraser-Hidalgo served as a Montgomery County police officer and also worked in private sector sales and marketing. In the House of Delegates, he serves on the Environment and Transportation Committee and has sponsored legislation to ban fracking and promote electric vehicles. He is a former chair of the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus.
