Dawn Morgan has served as the Mayor of Kernersville since 2008. Prior to being elected mayor, she served on the Kernersville Planning Board and the Board of Aldermen. She was the first female mayor of Kernersville. Morgan earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. After law school, she worked as an associate at a law firm in Winston-Salem before moving to Kernersville in 1994.
