Denese Shinholster is a lifelong resident of Milledgeville and Baldwin County. She is a graduate of Baldwin High School and has attended Georgia Military College and Georgia College & State University. Prior to her public service, she worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections for 30 years, retiring as a Business Manager. She was first elected to the Milledgeville City Council for District 3 in 2017 and was re-elected for her second term in 2021. She is an active member of her community and serves at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church.
